Racing Incident Report

MAGIC HANDS was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of XLERATE which on jumping shifted in abruptly. Shortly after the start, CELEBRATION and KIDDY SING were steadied when tightened for room between CHEERS HONG KONG and XLERATE which shifted in further. Near the 2000 Metres, NILOMETER was steadied away from the heels of EQUATOR KID which shifted in when not quite clear. After the 800 Metres, MASTERY was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CELEBRATION. At the same time, KIDDY SING became unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINNING KEVIN. After the 400 Metres, CELEBRATION got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of EVER SUCCESS. Near the 200 Metres, CELEBRATION and NILOMETER raced tight. As a result, CELEBRATION got its head on the side and shifted in away from JAZZ BEAT. D Whyte (XLERATE) said he had been instructed to go forward from the gates, either lead or press the leader to ensure the tempo of the race was genuine. He said in accordance with those instructions he rode forward in the early stages, followed EQUATOR KID across to race outside it entering the Home Straight on the first occasion, then when DYNAMIC FUN crossed to the lead after passing the winning post on the first occasion, he edged forward to ensure the tempo of the race did not slacken. EQUATOR KID and DYNAMIC FUN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, EQUATOR KID and DYNAMIC FUN were examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. XLERATE, MAGIC HANDS and MASTERY were sent for sampling.
