Racing Incident Report
FIGURES began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, KIMBERLEY MINES was bumped by SUPER BROSE which when being ridden along to maintain a position inside PRIME WITNESS shifted in away from that horse. After the 900 Metres, KIMBERLEY MINES was steadied away from the heels of SUPER BROSE. Making the Home Turn, ELECTRONIC UNICORN was carried wider by CAPE OF GOOD HOPE which itself had been carried out by SUPER KID. For a short distance after the 400 Metres, CHEERFUL FORTUNE raced tight inside ABLE PRINCE. Near the 200 Metres, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE was brushed by ELECTRONIC UNICORN which shifted in slightly. After the 200 Metres, SUPER KID got its head on the side and was inclined to lay in and because of this was not ridden out to the line as it normally would be. Throughout the race, GRAND DELIGHT raced wide and without cover. SILENT WITNESS and CAPE OF GOOD HOPE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CHEERFUL FORTUNE had bled from its right nostril. He said an endoscopic examination confirmed the horse to be a bleeder.
