Racing Incident Report
Shortly after the start, SUPER BROSE was checked, ALWAYS FLYING, GRAND DELIGHT, ABLE PRINCE and SPECIAL KING PRAWN were crowded for room and became badly unbalanced between CELESTIAL MAGIC which on jumping shifted out abruptly and ASSET which on jumping shifted in abruptly. Near the 100 Metres, the whip of A Marcus (ABLE PRINCE) was knocked from his hand by the whip of D Whyte (ALWAYS FLYING). After this, A Marcus dropped his right rein which he did not re-gather for the remainder of the race. For the major part of the race, CELESTIAL MAGIC got its head on the side and was inclined to shift out. ALWAYS FLYING and ABLE PRINCE were sent for sampling. After the race, C Williams (ASSET) reported the horse was not striding out freely. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings at this time, however, he noted the horse had lost its right front plate.
