Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, SILLY BOY, which was leaning against the inside of its stall, began awkwardly, bounded in the air and lost ground. On jumping, GREAT STAR got its head up, shifted out and bumped STRAIGHT WIN. Also on jumping, ABLE MARS bounded in the air. DANDY BUNNY was slow to begin, then in the early stages was reluctant to stride out. In the early stages, HARVEST GALA hung in. At the 800 Metres, ABLE MARS was momentarily steadied away from the heels of SILLY BOY. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, ELVIS was momentarily steadied when crowded for room inside ZHI YOU SPIRIT. After the 500 Metres, TELECOM BABE was unable to improve when racing behind HARVEST GALA and inside the heels of SUPRA SMART KID. After the 300 Metres, ELVIS was awkwardly placed and unable to improve behind ABLE MARS and to the outside of SILLY BOY which commenced to give ground. For some distance after the 200 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT was held up and unable to obtain clear running behind STRAIGHT WIN and SILLY BOY, both of which were giving ground. TELECOM BABE, which was following FIRST KNIGHT, was shifted to the outside of that horse. SILLY BOY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SILLY BOY after the race did not show any significant findings. ABLE MARS and ELVIS were sent for sampling.
