Racing Incident Report

GREENESSY was slow to begin. LUCKY KING began awkwardly, got its head up and lost ground. WEALTHY began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped DIAMOND ERA. From the outside gate, SIR OCTAVIUS was steadied and taken back behind runners to a position close to the rail but near the rear. In the early stages, INSIDE MAIL proved difficult to settle and at the 1000 Metres got its head up when close to the heels of KIMBERLEY MINES. Near the 1300 Metres, ZERO IN was bumped by WIN AGAIN. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, INSIDE MAIL got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of WEALTHY which at this time was carried out by ZERO IN which when proving difficult to settle shifted out away from the heels of THUNDER STORM. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, GREENESSY hung out. In the middle stages, WEALTHY got its head on the side and was inclined to lay out. On straightening, SIR OCTAVIUS was steadied and shifted to the inside of GREENESSY. After this, SIR OCTAVIUS had some difficulty obtaining clear running, near the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of GREENESSY and then near the 200 Metres was again steadied and shifted to the outside of ZERO IN. At the 300 Metres, LUCKY KING was steadied and shifted to the outside of EVER SUCCESS to continue going forward. As a result of this, CHINSOLA was carried wider on the track. Over the concluding stages, GREENESSY, which was inclined to shift out, was steadied away from the heels of ZERO IN which at this time shifted in slightly. Throughout the race, EVER SUCCESS raced wide and without cover and making the Home Turn hung out when shifting wider on the track. EVER SUCCESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of EVER SUCCESS after the race did not show any significant findings. WEALTHY and ZERO IN were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported WIN AGAIN was scoped at the request of Trainer J Moore. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of mucus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, WIN AGAIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
