Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, SNIPPEDYDOODA began awkwardly, threw its head around and shifted out abruptly, resulting in S Sanders, its rider, becoming badly unbalanced. For some time after this, SNIPPEDYDOODA continued to shift out and lost a significant amount of ground. SNIPPEDYDOODA was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, SNIPPEDYDOODA was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SNIPPEDYDOODA will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On jumping, MR COOL blundered. Also on jumping, DASHING THUNDER was bumped by WHATABOB. PARADIS was slow to begin. VROOM VROOM, which was intended to be ridden in a rearward position today, was slow to begin. In the early stages, SILVER SUN proved difficult to settle. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, DASHING THUNDER was steadied when crowded for room between VROOM VROOM which shifted out and WISE CHOICE which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in away from BEAUTY PLUS. Making the Home Turn, TRAVEL LEADER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PICTURE PERFECT. After the 300 Metres, DASHING THUNDER, which was beginning to close the race off strongly, was steadied and shifted to the inside of MAJESTIC FEELING which was giving ground. Over about the final 200 Metres, LUCKY DANSKE hung out when under pressure. MAJESTIC FEELING, which tailed out, was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, MAJESTIC FEELING was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MAJESTIC FEELING will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PICTURE PERFECT, WHATABOB and WISE CHOICE were sent for sampling.
