Racing Incident Report
CITI CENTRE was difficult to load, then was slow to begin and was reluctant to stride out in the early stages, as a consequence tailed off. Before being allowed to race again, CITI CENTRE will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. Near the 1300 Metres, TEMMOKU (Apprentice C W Wong) became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of KIDDY SING. Apprentice Wong was advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to come back and allow himself comfortable racing room. Making the Home Turn, MILITARY OPTION was held up and unable to improve, then shortly after straightening shifted to the inside of SHANGHAI KING into clear running. After the 300 Metres, SIR OCTAVIUS, which was commencing to give ground, was bumped by CLASSA WIN which got its head on the side and shifted in. For the major part of the race, FLYING SUCCESS raced wide and without cover. SIR OCTAVIUS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SIR OCTAVIUS after the race did not show any significant findings. WINNING KEVIN and MILITARY OPTION were sent for sampling.
