Racing Incident Report
GOOD NATURE was withdrawn on raceday afternoon by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left hind infection). Before being allowed to race again, GOOD NATURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EL PRADO STAR began awkwardly, lost ground and then tailed out. The performance of EL PRADO STAR was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, EL PRADO STAR will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AMBITIOUS LEADER was slow to begin. MURCIELAGO was a little slow into stride, then shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded for room between LASER POWER and MAJIN BUU which got its head on the side and shifted in. From a wide barrier, SUPERSONIC failed to muster speed despite being ridden along and as a consequence raced three wide and without cover throughout. After the race, F Coetzee (SUPERSONIC) reported his mount did not handle the track conditions. SUPERSONIC was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPERSONIC after the race did not show any significant findings. LASER POWER and GUNG HO were sent for sampling.
