Racing Incident Report
LUCKY UNICORN was withdrawn on 3.5.05 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY UNICORN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BEAUTY PLUS began awkwardly, got its head up, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of BACCHUS. SPY KING began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, SPY KING and SPARKY were checked when crowded for room between DANACOURT and DRAGON AND GOLD which got its head on the side and shifted out. Also shortly after the start, GALLANT KNIGHT was bumped by SALUT BEAUTE which shifted out after itself being bumped by BACCHUS. Near the 200 Metres, DOUBLE DIP, which was laying out, was steadied away from the heels of DANACOURT (D Whyte) which shifted in when not properly clear. D Whyte was advised to exercise greater care. Shortly after this, DOUBLE DIP continued to hang out and caused crowding on its outside to FLYING GENERAL which as a result was steadied. At the 150 Metres, R Fradd (ROYAL DECREE) dropped his whip. ROYAL DECREE and EVER MORE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ROYAL DECREE and EVER MORE after the race did not show any significant findings. DANACOURT and BACCHUS were sent for sampling.

BEAUTY PLUS was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K W Lui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY PLUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

DANACOURT was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the stables of Trainer J Size this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DANACOURT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
