Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, SHOGUN lifted its front feet off the ground, leant against the inside of its stall, began awkwardly and stumbled. CLASSA FOR EVER, which was fractious in its stall, was slow to begin, then shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between SUPER BROSE which shifted out and TIGER RIDGE which shifted in after being bumped on the hindquarters by SUNNY SING. Near the 1100 Metres, CLASSA FOR EVER, which had been hard ridden to make up lost ground, was checked away from the heels of TIGER RIDGE which shifted in when not properly clear. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Near the 900 Metres, STARDANE was steadied when crowded for room inside SUNNY SING which got its head on the side and shifted in momentarily. TIGER RIDGE, which was following STARDANE, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of that horse. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, MOVE IT was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of GROOM RAIDER which was carried in slightly by CLASSA FOR EVER. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, CLASSA FOR EVER, which was unbalanced in the going, hung in and dipped on several occasions. After the 200 Metres, FANTASY was shifted out to avoid the heels of SUNNY SING which was giving ground. CLASSA FOR EVER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of CLASSA FOR EVER after the race did not show any significant findings. JOLLY GAINS and TIGER RIDGE were sent for sampling.
