Racing Incident Report
BEST CHOICE and JOY AND TREASURE were slow to begin. LOK WAH TREASURE was a little slow to begin and then was crowded for room inside KING OF TURBOT which began awkwardly, got its head on the side and shifted in. UNIVERSAL GLORY got its head up on jumping. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, WE'RE BUDDIES was left racing without cover in a three wide position and then near the 1200 Metres was allowed to stride forward. In the early and middle stages, DANEPRINT raced wide and without cover. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, BAUHINIA raced tight inside WE'RE BUDDIES. At the 500 Metres, UNIVERSAL GLORY was carried wider by PURPLE GOLD which shifted out to improve around BAUHINIA which at this time commenced to give ground. Approaching the Home Turn, JOY AND TREASURE was held up and unable to improve, then just prior to straightening became unbalanced when crowded for room inside DANSOLDE. At the 150 Metres, JOY AND TREASURE, which was closing the race off strongly, was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of WE'RE BUDDIES. BAUHINIA was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BAUHINIA after the race did not show any significant findings. LOK WAH TREASURE and PURPLE GOLD were sent for sampling.
