Racing Incident Report

KA KA WIN and TOP HONOR bounded in the air at the start. For some distance after the 1400 Metres, due to the pace of the race, TOP HONOR proved difficult to settle and on a number of occasions got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of BEAR DOMINANCE. Also for some distance after the 1400 Metres, SYLLABUS proved difficult to settle when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ELEPHANT DANCE. On straightening, MASTERY was carried wider by SYLLABUS which at this time improved towards the outside of ELEPHANT DANCE which itself shifted to the outside of NASA PEARL. For some distance after straightening, SPRINTER was held up and unable to improve when racing behind CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE and inside NASA PEARL. Approaching the 200 Metres, TOP HONOR had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Throughout the race, MASTERY raced wide and without cover. GOLD SANDFIELD was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, GOLD SANDFIELD, which was eased down in the Straight, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was displaying an irregular heart beat. Before being allowed to race again, GOLD SANDFIELD will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SYLLABUS, SPRINTER and MASTERY were sent for sampling.
