Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, MILITARY OPTION reared and on landing became badly unbalanced behind, causing O Doleuze, its rider, to become unbalanced. As a consequence, MILITARY OPTION lost a considerable amount of ground. CHINSOLA was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, JOLLY GOOD FORTUNE and EAST OCEAN DRAGON were crowded for room between GOOD NATURE and CELEBRATION which shifted out. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres and again making the turn at the 600 Metres, GOOD NATURE hung out and continued to do so until after straightening. Prior to straightening, KIDDYLAND was steadied away from the heels of CELEBRATION. Over about the final 100 Metres, DIAMOND ERA and KIDDYLAND raced tight when endeavouring to improve between GOOD NATURE and THOUSAND WINS which shifted in slightly. Prior to the winning post, KIDDYLAND was checked and DIAMOND ERA became badly unbalanced when these horses were disappointed for running where there was insufficient room for two horses. For the major part of the race, WINNING SUNSHINE raced wide and without cover. GOOD NATURE and ARMONDO were sent for sampling.
