Racing Incident Report
GENKI KING, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 19.11.05 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind). Before being allowed to race again, GENKI KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUDDEN SPLENDOR began awkwardly and lost ground. On jumping, OSCAR STAR got its head up, bumped the outside gate of its stall and consequently lost ground. Shortly after the start, PROFIT HILL was steadied when crowded for room between DON FELIPE and DILIGENT which was carried in slightly by ROMANTIC WINNER. Shortly after this, ROMANTIC WINNER was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of ONE STEP AHEAD. At the 1200 Metres, DON FELIPE was steadied to avoid the heels of ROMANTIC WINNER which was carried in by ONE STEP AHEAD. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, CARELESS WHISPER, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, ROMANTIC WINNER proved difficult to settle. At the 600 Metres, CARELESS WHISPER was steadied when awkwardly placed outside the heels of OCEAN TRANQUIL and inside ROMANTIC WINNER. Making the Home Turn, FORTE hung out, then in the Home Straight hung in. From entering the Home Straight until the 200 Metres, GOLD MEDAL WINNER was held up and unable to improve when racing behind GOLDEN FARM and FORTE. After the 400 Metres, CARELESS WHISPER was steadied when disappointed for running between ROMANTIC WINNER and OCEAN TRANQUIL (O Doleuze) which shifted out. O Doleuze was reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. After the 200 Metres, GOLD MEDAL WINNER, which was shifting out, was steadied when disappointed for a run between FORTE and OCEAN TRANQUIL. PROFIT HILL, which was following GOLD MEDAL WINNER, was steadied in consequence and for some distance remained racing close to the heels of GOLD MEDAL WINNER and therefore was not ridden out as it normally would be. In the run to the winning post, ALL'S WELL got its head on the side and shifted out. ALL'S WELL and DON FELIPE were sent for sampling.
