Racing Incident Report
Prior to leaving the stable for presentation in the Parade Ring, it was noted KINGSTON MARBLE had lost both hind plates. KINGSTON MARBLE was re-plated on both hind legs and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. While parading, NAPA shifted its right front plate. This plate was reset. NAPA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. After arriving at the Start, GOLDEN WIN was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. LUCKY SPECIAL began very awkwardly, causing Y T Cheng, its rider, to become unbalanced, lose his left stirrup and almost be dislodged. LUCKY SPECIAL then became badly unbalanced and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY SPECIAL will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. TURF GOLD was slow to begin. KINGSTON MARBLE began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped WHIPLASH. At the 500 Metres, ALL FIT was carried wider by FLAG FINDER which shifted towards the outside of SMARTY FACE into clear running. After the 400 Metres, MODERN INTEREST got its head on the side and hung in. KINGSTON MARBLE and AFRICAN FOREST were sent for sampling.
