Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the Start, it was noted LASER POWER had lost its left front plate. LASER POWER was re-plated and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. When the gates opened, LIFELINE RAPIDE got its head up, bounded in the air and lost a considerable amount of ground. LASER POWER began awkwardly and lost ground. SUPER FIGHTER was slow to begin. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, VICTORY WARRIOR, which had been ridden along to obtain a position inside ALWAYS WELCOME, was steadied when crowded for room inside that horse which shifted in slightly when being steadied to allow ADAIKALI to cross in front. LASER POWER made the turn at the 600 Metres awkwardly and was steadied away from the heels of BLUE GENES. SPLENDID SAILS also made the turn at the 600 Metres awkwardly and was steadied away from the heels of AMO. After the 600 Metres, BLUE GENES was carried wider by EVER MORE which was carried wider by ALWAYS WELCOME which at this time shifted towards the outside of ADAIKALI. Prior to straightening, BLUE GENES was bumped by LASER POWER which shifted out. SUPER FIGHTER made the Home Turn awkwardly, then after the 200 Metres improved into a narrow run on the inside of SENSIBLE WAY which was giving ground. Shortly after straightening, LASER POWER was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of EVER MORE which shifted out. In the Straight, SPLENDID SAILS hung in. Throughout the race, BLUE GENES raced wide and without cover. VICTORY WARRIOR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of VICTORY WARRIOR after the race did not show any significant findings. LASER POWER, ADAIKALI and AMO were sent for sampling.
