Racing Incident Report

MEMBERS GLORY, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 6.5.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, MEMBERS GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PILLOW KING began awkwardly, got its head up, shifted out and bumped PRIME DELIGHT which on jumping had stumbled. KING HESPERUS was a little slow to begin, then travelled wide and without cover throughout. In the early stages, SUPER CHARGE proved difficult to settle. Also in the early stages, SUPREME GAINS travelled wide and without cover. Making the Home Turn, FREEBIRD hung out. On straightening, SUPREME GAINS was bumped, hampered and carried wider by PRIME DELIGHT which at this time endeavoured to shift to the outside of KING HESPERUS into clear running. Near the 400 Metres, VIKING TOR was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPREME GAINS. Approaching the 300 Metres, DELIGHTFUL WIN was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of SUPER CHARGE which at this time was giving ground. EYE WITNESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of EYE WITNESS after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREME GAINS and DELIGHTFUL WIN were sent for sampling.
