Racing Incident Report
ROCKET WIN was slow to begin and was checked to avoid the heels of GOLD FIELD which on jumping shifted out. LUCKY MONEY began awkwardly and shortly afterwards was crowded for room between GOLD FIELD and EVERGREEN. AMSTERDAM was slow to begin. TOP SCORER began awkwardly, causing B Prebble, its rider, to become unbalanced. After this, TOP SCORER travelled wide and without cover, making the first turn hung out and making the Home Turn hung out badly and finished tailed out. The performance of TOP SCORER was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, TOP SCORER will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. At the 1400 Metres, AMSTERDAM was steadied when tightened for room inside LUCKY STALLION which at this time was racing tight inside TOP SCORER which shifted in when not clear. B Prebble was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care. At the 1300 Metres, LUCKY MONEY, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up. Also at the 1300 Metres, LUCKY STALLION shifted in and bumped GOLD FIELD. Making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, LUCKY MONEY (Y T Cheng) hung out badly, causing CALIFORNIA BISHOP to be carried wider. Y T Cheng was told whilst LUCKY MONEY was hanging, he should not have commenced to ride his mount along shortly after straightening and in the circumstances he was reprimanded. The performance of LUCKY MONEY was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, LUCKY MONEY will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 200 Metres, AMSTERDAM shifted out away from LUCKY STALLION and made contact with SHABU SHABU. In the Straight, GOLD FIELD hung out. Near the 50 Metres, SUNRISE RAINBOW, which was giving ground, was hampered by DIAMOND ERA which shifted to the outside of GOLD FIELD which itself shifted ground while continuing to hang. Right on the line, DIAMOND ERA and ROCKET WIN were crowded for room between GOLD FIELD and SHABU SHABU, both of which shifted ground. TOP SCORER was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of TOP SCORER after the race did not show any significant findings. SHABU SHABU and GOLD FIELD were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported SHABU SHABU had lost its right front plate.
