Racing Incident Report
FRIENDS FOREVER was withdrawn on 2.6.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (abnormality in blood profile) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SPEED WINNER (A Delpech). Before being allowed to race again, FRIENDS FOREVER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AWESOME EAGLE began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped BRAVERY LUCK which on jumping stumbled. NEW TAMAR began awkwardly. With the intention of being ridden quietly from a wide barrier, SPEED WINNER was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, MADE IN HONGKONG and STAR OF NORTHERN bumped. Also shortly after the start, ESPRIT D'OR was steadied when crowded for room between BRAVERY LUCK and CITY GLORY (H K Yim) which shifted in when not properly clear. H K Yim was told to exercise greater care. Making the first turn, FUN CRUISER got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MADE IN HONGKONG. In the early and middle stages, WIN FORTUNE travelled wide and without cover. At the 900 Metres, NOBLE ZOOM was carried wider by WIN DANCER which after being crossed by WIN FORTUNE shifted out. Near the 800 Metres, NOBLE ZOOM and WIN DANCER bumped. At the 700 Metres, ESPRIT D'OR got its head up when awkwardly placed inside the hindquarters of SPEED WINNER. Shortly after straightening, WIN FORTUNE became unbalanced, shifted in and brushed the running rail. At the 300 Metres, WIN DANCER was steadied and shifted to the outside of NOBLE ZOOM to obtain clear running. The performances of STEP FORWARD, MAXIMUM JOY and CITY GLORY, all of which tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, STEP FORWARD, MAXIMUM JOY and CITY GLORY will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. STEP FORWARD, MAXIMUM JOY and CITY GLORY were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of STEP FORWARD, MAXIMUM JOY and CITY GLORY after the race did not show any significant findings. WIN DANCER, FUN CRUISER and WIN FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
