Racing Incident Report
CRUSADER OF GOLD was withdrawn on 27.6.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore foot) and was replaced by first Standby Declared Starter NAPA (Apprentice C W Wong). RAINBOW DIAMOND was withdrawn on 27.6.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and PILLOW KING, second Standby Declared Starter, was also withdrawn on 27.6.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen both fore fetlocks). Before being allowed to race again, CRUSADER OF GOLD, RAINBOW DIAMOND and PILLOW KING will all be subjected to an official veterinary examination. An inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the swollen both fore fetlocks of PILLOW KING was adjourned until tomorrow at 4:15 pm. DANRIVA was slow to begin. With the intention of being ridden on the rail from a middle draw, MUTUAL GAIN on jumping was steadied and taken across behind runners, then near the 1500 Metres was again steadied away from the heels of SUPER FANTASY. After this, MUTUAL GAIN continued to race in a one wide position. At the 600 Metres, HANDBAG PREMIER was bumped by EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT which shifted in. For some distance after the 600 Metres, SUNRISE RAINBOW was steadied away from the heels of SUPER FANTASY which at this time shifted away from the rail. At the 200 Metres, HAPPY CRUSADER was momentarily crowded for room inside NAPA which got its head on the side and hung in. After this, NAPA was straightened and shifted wider on the track. At the 150 Metres, LIAOBUQI and GLORIOUS RHYTHM bumped. Over the last 150 Metres, DANRIVA, which was closing the race off fairly, was not able to obtain clear running and consequently was not tested. SUNRISE RAINBOW and MUTUAL GAIN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUNRISE RAINBOW and MUTUAL GAIN after the race did not show any significant findings. HAPPY CRUSADER and NAPA were sent for sampling.
