Racing Incident Report
Shortly after the start, PROGRESSING TIMES was steadied when crowded for room between PALIO KING and AMAZING CHOICE which after beginning awkwardly shifted in. Approaching the 1000 Meters, GOLDEN STRIDE was steadied when awkwardly placed between WITHALLMYHEART and BUDDIES SPIRIT. Also approaching the 1000 Metres, MY PRIDE got its head up when being steadied due to momentary crowding from BEAUTY PLUS which got its head on the side and shifted in. No action was taken. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, SILLY BOY lost ground when awkwardly placed inside the heels of BUDDIES SPIRIT. For a considerable distance in the Straight, SILLY BOY had difficulty obtaining clear running and therefore was not fully tested. A Delpech (WITHALLMYHEART), which was racing in blinkers for the first time, said he had been instructed to go forward and lead if possible with the horse. He said it was felt if he did not do so, WITHALLMYHEART would be obliged to race wide throughout. MY PRIDE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of MY PRIDE after the race did not show any significant findings. PALIO KING and DR POSSI were sent for sampling.
