Racing Incident Report
ZAVONE and VICTORY CODE were slow to begin. On jumping, WINNING KEVIN was bumped by EVERGREEN which shifted out after being bumped by CALIFORNIA HEART. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, ZAVONE, which was proving difficult to settle, shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOLDEN CARE. Because of this, SUNNY DESERT was hampered and carried wider. Also making the turn at the 700 Metres, SOLAR EMPIRE hung out. In the early part of the Straight, ZAVONE was held up and unable to obtain clear running. The performance of WINNING KEVIN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING KEVIN will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WINNING KEVIN and CALIFORNIA HEART were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WINNING KEVIN and CALIFORNIA HEART after the race did not show any significant findings. GOLDEN CARE and VICTORY CODE were sent for sampling.
