Racing Incident Report

Due to a misunderstanding, the saddle for RAMONTI was taken to the Parade Ring without Jockey E Botti being properly weighed out. In the circumstances, no action was taken. On jumping, DAVE'S BEST was checked when crowded for room between RUSSIAN PEARL and BOWMAN'S CROSSING which shifted out after being bumped by BULLISH LUCK. REBEL REBEL was slow into stride. Near the 900 Metres, BULLISH LUCK became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of ARMADA which at this time was being ridden along to maintain its position. Prior to straightening, ARMADA and REBEL REBEL bumped as REBEL REBEL endeavoured to shift out to obtain clear running. After the 400 Metres, MUSTAMEET became unbalanced after being bumped on two occasions by BULLISH LUCK (B Prebble) which shifted towards the outside of ARMADA to obtain clear running. DANCE IN THE MOOD and RUSSIAN PEARL, which were racing outside MUSTAMEET, were shifted wider and LINNGARI which was following was steadied and shifted in. B Prebble was advised to exercise care. After the 200 Metres, ARMADA shifted wider on the track. Because of this, D Whyte, the horse's rider, changed the whip into his left hand. Also after the 200 Metres, JOYFUL WINNER and FLORAL PEGASUS raced tight due to JOYFUL WINNER laying out. After the 50 Metres, LINNGARI was steadied and shifted to the inside of JOYFUL WINNER to continue going forward. THE DUKE and ARMADA were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 11 December 2006)
The Senior Veterinary Officer reported that REBEL REBEL was found to be lame in the right front leg after racing.
