Racing Incident Report
STARFINDER was slow to begin and then lost further ground when crowded for room between PICTURE PERFECT and DELIGHTFUL WIN which on jumping was carried out by GALLANT WIN. On jumping, SUPER GOAL MASTER and ELEGANCE LUCKY bumped. After the 1200 Metres, despite being ridden along, SUPER GOAL MASTER was unable to maintain its position to the inside of ELEGANCE LUCKY. Near the 600 Metres, ELEGANCE LUCKY was steadied when awkwardly placed between SWEET BABY which shifted out slightly and STEEL NERVES which shifted in. When ELEGANCE LUCKY was steadied, it shifted out and bumped SUPER GOAL MASTER. Near the 300 Metres, DELIGHTFUL WIN was steadied away from the heels of GALLANT WIN which momentarily shifted out. At the 300 Metres, D Whyte (SWEET BABY) momentarily dropped his right rein. When D Whyte was re-gathering this rein, he steadied his mount away from the heels of BRAVE COMMANDER. Close to the line, DELIGHTFUL WIN was steadied when awkwardly placed between SPLENDID SAILS and BRAVE COMMANDER. Because of this, DELIGHTFUL WIN was not ridden out to the line as it normally would be. Throughout the race, BRAVE COMMANDER travelled wide and without cover. SUPER GOAL MASTER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPER GOAL MASTER after the race did not show any significant findings. STEEL NERVES and PICTURE PERFECT were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted ROCKET AND GOLD had blood present at its right nostril. The Veterinary Officer said an endoscopic examination showed the horse's trachea to be clean and therefore was not deemed to have bled.
