Racing Incident Report

PRIME DELIGHT was withdrawn on 26.10.07 on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter NOBLE SILENCE (G Mossé). Before being allowed to race again, PRIME DELIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HOLIGAN and NOBLE SILENCE were slow to begin. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, WELL NOTED was steadied away from the heels of FLY ME TO THE MOON which itself was steadied to allow BOBO WIN to cross. Making the Home Turn, JOLLY WONGCHOY was carried wider by FINGERS CROSSED which at this time shifted out into clear running. Passing the 200 Metres, DIAMOND ERA was held up for clear running. Just prior to the winning post, HONEST TREASURE was checked and WELL NOTED steadied when disappointed for running between DR POSSI which shifted out slightly and DIAMOND ERA which when improving towards the inside of FINGERS CROSSED was awkwardly placed and carried in slightly by that horse. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Because of these incidents, WELL NOTED and HONEST TREASURE were not ridden out to the end of the race. Throughout the race, HAPPY CRUSADER travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. NOBLE SILENCE and HAPPY CRUSADER were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE SILENCE and HAPPY CRUSADER after the race did not show any significant findings. FINGERS CROSSED and DR POSSI were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported WELL NOTED had lost its right hind plate.
