Racing Incident Report

BOBO WIN was slow to begin. On jumping, QUALITY-QUALITY and GALAXEE from wide barriers were taken back. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, STRIKING MASCOT failed to muster speed. At the 1500 Metres, BOBO WIN, which had been ridden along to make up ground, was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of BIG KAHUNA. After the 1500 Metres, TRIUMPH, which was travelling wide and without cover from a wide barrier, was steadied and shifted in in an endeavour to obtain a position with cover in midfield. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, STRIKING MASCOT was steadied away from the heels of BIG KAHUNA which when shifting in was steadied away from the heels of FOREVER FORTUNE which in turn steadied to avoid the heels of WITHALLMYHEART (Apprentice K C Leung) which shifted in when not properly clear. Apprentice Leung was reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care. Also approaching the winning post on the first occasion, BOBO WIN was momentarily crowded for room between BIG KAHUNA and TRIUMPH which shifted in. After this, TRIUMPH was unable to obtain cover, travelled wide on the course and commenced to improve its position after the 1200 Metres together with NATURAL FATCHOY which also had been travelling wide and without cover. TRIUMPH then travelled in a forward position wide and without cover. After the 1200 Metres, WITHALLMYHEART and TOUT VA BIEN, which were proving difficult to settle, got their heads up when being steadied away from the heels of runners in front. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, TOUT VA BIEN was carried wider by FOREVER FORTUNE which was proving difficult to settle and shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of WITHALLMYHEART which was also proving difficult to settle and was steadied away from the heels of CLASSA SUPREME. Over the final 200 Metres, STRIKING MASCOT was unable to obtain clear running and because of this was not tested. TOUT VA BIEN was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of TOUT VA BIEN after the race did not show any significant findings. CLASSIC REUNION and BIG KAHUNA were sent for sampling.
