Racing Incident Report

POWER AND GOLD and LEAD THE PROSPECTS were crowded for room at the start between MUTUAL GAIN and FORTUNE KING which began awkwardly and shifted in. For some distance after this, POWER AND GOLD raced tight between MUTUAL GAIN and LEAD THE PROSPECTS. GENERAL POWER, which was leaning on the outside of its gate, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of SEIZE THE DAY. Shortly after the start, DIAMOND PRINCE raced tight between MUTUAL GAIN and MUSTANG. Passing the 300 Metres, GLITTERING was steadied when crowded for room between MUSTANG and LEAD THE PROSPECTS, both of which shifted slight ground. Passing the 100 Metres, SPICY SHRIMP shifted out under pressure, causing MOUNT SURPLUS to be inconvenienced. SEIZE THE DAY, SPICY SHRIMP and LEAD THE PROSPECTS were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SPICY SHRIMP had lost its left front plate and that GENERAL POWER had lost its right front plate.
