Racing Incident Report

PLANET shifted out at the start and bumped GALLOPY. For some distance after passing the 1000 Metres, GOOD JOB proved difficult to settle and was checked away from the heels of DR UNION. W C Marwing (GOOD JOB) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that rounding the Home Turn he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of MY WAY, resulting in that horse being checked and taken out onto the hindquarters of ESPERANZA which as a result became badly unbalanced. W C Marwing was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 14 October 2010 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Caulfield Racemeeting to be conducted in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday, 9 October 2010. Passing the 200 Metres, DESCARTES shifted out. Inside the 100 Metres, the whip of J Lloyd (DESCARTES) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of Apprentice K C Leung (GRANDFIELD). Throughout the race, ESPERANZA travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of GOOD JOB after the race did not show any significant findings. MY WAY, DR UNION and GRANDFIELD were sent for sampling.
