Racing Incident Report
HO HO LIFE was withdrawn on 30.11.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (sore right fore tendon) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUCCESSFUL ERA (M W Leung). Before being allowed to race again, HO HO LIFE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. OASIS DAVIS was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, HAPPY CHA CHA was steadied when tightened for room between HIGH LUCK and SUISSE D’OR which shifted in. Passing the 1300 Metres, SUISSE D’OR got its head up and shifted out when being severely checked away from the heels of OASIS DAVIS which at this time was bumped by WIN WIN FELLOWSHIP which got its head up and shifted out when racing close to the heels of VILASOL (Apprentice C Y Ho) which had previously shifted in when not quite clear. Apprentice Ho was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in future. Approaching the 1000 Metres, HIGH LUCK, which had been racing wide and without cover, was ridden to the lead. Passing the 600 Metres, HAPPY CHA CHA got its head in the air and proved difficult to settle when being steadied away from the heels of OASIS DAVIS. In this incident, HAPPY CHA CHA shifted in, resulting in SUCCESSFUL ERA being crowded for room. Approaching the 400 Metres, OASIS DAVIS raced in restricted room between WIN WIN FELLOWSHIP and EAST OCEAN. OASIS DAVIS then had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. A veterinary inspection of EAST OCEAN after the race did not show any significant findings. OASIS DAVIS, VILASOL and UNIQUE SPEED were sent for sampling.
