Racing Incident Report

From the outside barrier, TEAM WORK was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Near the 900 Metres, CARS KING PRAWN was steadied away from the heels of MY TIME which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FREE AND EASY when proving difficult to settle. WINDICATOR POWER, which was following CARS KING PRAWN, was inconvenienced as a consequence. Approaching the 800 Metres, MAELSTROM was steadied away from the heels of GROOVY which got its head up when being checked away from the heels of BONDI LAD. At the entrance to the Straight, MAELSTROM was steadied away from the heels of WINDICATOR POWER which shifted out to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, LUCKY RED proved difficult to settle, travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. After the race, Z Purton (MAELSTROM) stated that his mount became unbalanced near the 600 Metres and after this did not feel comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY RED, TEAM WORK and MAELSTROM after the race did not show any significant findings. GROOVY and WINDICATOR POWER were sent for sampling.
