Racing Incident Report

INVICTUS was withdrawn on 28.4.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind). Before being allowed to race again, INVICTUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. VIVACISSIMO began awkwardly. K-MOOCHI was slow to begin. CHINA ANGEL was crowded for room at the start between DAVIN and PAPAS which got its head on the side and shifted out. Passing the 900 Metres, CHINA ANGEL proved very difficult to settle and after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of DAVIN for some distance shifted out when being checked away from that horse, resulting in AFRICA LIGHT being taken out across the running of SOLAR GREAT which was checked and lost a considerable amount of ground when racing close to the heels of AFRICA LIGHT. Also passing the 900 Metres, CALL ME ACHIEVER got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAELSTROM. In this incident, CALL ME ACHIEVER shifted out slightly, resulting in REAL GENERAL being inconvenienced. After the 800 Metres, DAVIN was checked away from the heels of REAL GENERAL which itself was steadied away from the heels of VIVACISSIMO. CHINA ANGEL, which was following, was checked away from the heels of DAVIN in consequence. After the 600 Metres, DIVINITY POWER was shifted in away from the heels of DANCE FOR GOLD. Near the 50 Metres, CALL ME ACHIEVER was shifted out away from the heels of MAELSTROM. Throughout the race, PAPAS travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CELESTIALBLESSINGS had bled from both nostrils. DANCE FOR GOLD and VIVACISSIMO were sent for sampling.
