Racing Incident Report

BLUE CAVIAR was withdrawn on 13.7.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of blood in trachea on scoping after track work) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter RED LUCKY STAR (Apprentice K C Ng). Before being allowed to race again, BLUE CAVIAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WINDICATOR STAR began awkwardly and was slow to begin. UWILLBEGLORIOUS and ANCIENT KINGDOM were crowded for room at the start between B CHOICE which shifted out slightly and BUNDLE OF LOVE which got its head on the side and shifted in. In this incident, BUNDLE OF LOVE became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by ANCIENT KINGDOM. Near the 1000 Metres, HI MOLLY, which was over-racing, shifted out away from the heels of ALL VICTORY which was being steadied by its rider. When HI MOLLY shifted out, B CHOICE and ANCIENT KINGDOM were taken wider. After this, HI MOLLY continued to prove difficult to settle for some distance. Rounding the Home Turn, BUNDLE OF LOVE got its head on the side and lay out. Passing the 400 Metres, FINN MACCOOL was shifted in when disappointed for running between B CHOICE and ANCIENT KINGDOM, both of which shifted ground. Throughout the race, ANCIENT KINGDOM travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ALL VICTORY had lost its left front plate. BE-FABULOUS and FIRST IN COMMAND were sent for sampling.
