Racing Incident Report

SECRET OF WINNING and NATURAL FLAME began awkwardly.
CROESUS shifted out at the start and bumped GOLDEN BAUHINIA.
At the 600 Metres, CROESUS was hampered when steadied away from the heels of TRUE COURAGE which at this time was awkwardly placed inside the heels of PO CHING KING and racing tight inside MR AWARD. When CROESUS was steadied, it shifted in, resulting in ALWAYS WELL being crowded for room. JAZZY FEELING and D DAY SUPER, which were following, were severely hampered and GOLDEN BAUHINIA, which was following CROESUS, was also hampered in consequence. When ALWAYS WELL was crowded for room, C K Tong, the rider of that horse, became badly unbalanced in the saddle.
Also at the 600 Metres, CHINA GOOD became badly unbalanced after shifting in and making heavy contact with the running rail.
Passing the 200 Metres, JAZZY FEELING shifted in away from the heels of PO CHING KING to obtain clear running and then passing the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of TRUE COURAGE to continue improving.
Throughout the race, MR AWARD travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on TRUE COURAGE at the request of Trainer A T Millard. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TRUE COURAGE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of PO CHING KING and GOLDEN BAUHINIA after the race did not show any significant findings.
CROESUS, TRUE COURAGE and D DAY SUPER were sent for sampling.
