Racing Incident Report
JADE CHRISTY began awkwardly.
CAVALE was slow to begin.
Approaching and passing the 800 Metres, JUST MISTERE got its head on the side and hung in badly. Then for some distance after the 600 Metres, JUST MISTERE continued to get its head on the side and hang in. Approaching the 400 Metres, JUST MISTERE, which continued to hang in, was crowded for room outside JADE CHRISTY (N Callan) which shifted out before being shifted back in to relieve the tightening to JUST MISTERE. N Callan was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he exercises more care in future. After this, JUST MISTERE continued to hang in badly. Over the final 100 Metres, JUST MISTERE was badly held up for clear running when unable to improve from behind COLUMBUS LINE which was giving ground quickly and outside CAVALE. Because of this, JUST MISTERE was not able to be fully tested. The racing manners of JUST MISTERE, which hung in badly for a considerable portion of the race, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, JUST MISTERE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.
At the 600 Metres, DIAMOND KNIGHT was awkwardly placed inside the heels of KA WAI FORTUNE. Then near the 200 Metres, DIAMOND KNIGHT was shifted to the outside of the heels of KA WAI FORTUNE after being held up for some distance leading up to this point.
DAPPER BOY was badly held up for clear running until after the 300 Metres.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that LUCKY RED had lost its right front plate.
A veterinary inspection of COLUMBUS LINE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JADE CHRISTY, DAPPER BOY and SURFER BOY were sent for sampling.
