Racing Incident Report

QUALITY KING stood flat-footed at the start and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, QUALITY KING will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
BETTER ANNOUNCE began awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by THANKSGIVING which shifted out. Then despite being ridden along, BETTER ANNOUNCE failed to muster speed.
Shortly after the start, NEW PET and MY GOAL bumped.
For some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE proved difficult to settle when being steadied to allow THANKSGIVING to cross.
Near the 950 Metres, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE raced tight between BORN TO WIN and TRAVEL MASTER which was racing inside the heels of DO YOU GET IT.
D Whyte (DO YOU GET IT) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 900 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in into the rightful running of TRAVEL MASTER, resulting in that horse striking the heels of DO YOU GET IT and blundering. D Whyte was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Wednesday, 2 July 2014 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). This suspension is with immediate effect. In addition, D Whyte was fined $60,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating 1 further raceday.
After the 900 Metres, TRAVEL MASTER was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 700 Metres, BETTER ANNOUNCE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MY GOAL.
OWNERS’ PRIDE lost its left hind plate approaching the 500 Metres.
At the 200 Metres, BETTER ANNOUNCE was checked away from the heels of DO YOU GET IT when disappointed for running between that horse which shifted in marginally when giving ground and NEW PET.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that LUFFY had shifted its left front plate.
A veterinary inspection of OWNERS’ PRIDE, DO YOU GET IT and TRAVEL MASTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THANKSGIVING and BORN TO WIN were sent for sampling.
