Racing Incident Report
On arrival at the Start, J Moreira expressed concern regarding the action of WHAT ELSE BUT YOU. WHAT ELSE BUT YOU was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was lame in the left front leg and accordingly was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, WHAT ELSE BUT YOU was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, WHAT ELSE BUT YOU will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
TEAM FORTUNE shifted out at the start and bumped MEGA RED.
SOLAR HEI HEI began only fairly.
CHIMBORAA began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, STAR OF YAN OI and ARCHIPPUS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, ARCHIPPUS got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of CHIMBORAA. A short distance later, ARCHIPPUS was momentarily crowded for room between CHIMBORAA and SOLAR HEI HEI which shifted out before being directed back in.
Also making the turn approaching the 700 Metres, TEAM FORTUNE shifted in of its own accord and brushed the running rail. A veterinary inspection of TEAM FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
For some distance approaching and passing the 100 Metres, TEAM FORTUNE raced in restricted room inside JOYFUL MOMENTS when improving into tight running inside that horse.
Throughout the race, DRAGON MASTER travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of ARCHIPPUS and STAR OF YAN OI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TEAM FORTUNE, MEGA RED and PABLOSKY were sent for sampling.
