Racing Incident Report

After being loaded into the barriers, SO HAPPY became fractious, reared and momentarily sat down, resulting in its rider, H W Lai being dislodged. SO HAPPY was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed fit to race.
APOLAR WARRIOR was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, SO HAPPY shifted in and bumped COBY OPPA.
After the 1100 Metres, SO HAPPY was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of STAR SUPERIOR which shifted in away from WAYFOONG CHARMER. After this, STAR SUPERIOR continued to race with its head on the side and lay in away from WAYFOONG CHARMER.
In the early stages, APOLAR WARRIOR raced greenly and then made the turn near the 700 Metres awkwardly and ran wide. After this, APOLAR WARRIOR continued to race greenly and travelled wide and without cover.
Approaching the 900 Metres, COBY OPPA became unbalanced.
After the 800 Metres, COBY OPPA lay in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SO HAPPY.
At the entrance to the Straight, WAYFOONG CHARMER was brushed by STAR SUPERIOR which shifted to the outside of HANDSOME REBEL. Then near the 150 Metres, STAR SUPERIOR shifted out and made contact with WAYFOONG CHARMER, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
A veterinary inspection of SO HAPPY immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, SO HAPPY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GUNNAR and GOLD COMET were sent for sampling.
