Racing Incident Report

HEAVENLY THOUGHT shifted out at the start and bumped FAITHFUL TRINITY.
ILLUSTRIOUS and VIVA POPCORN bumped on jumping. VIVA POPCORN was then steadied to obtain cover.
CHATER PINS was crowded for room on jumping between FREE FOAL and VIVA HUNTER which shifted in. After this, from a wide barrier, CHATER PINS was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ILLUSTRIOUS and FREE FOAL bumped.
Also passing the winning post on the first occasion, CHATER PINS got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind TOTAL POWER.
Approaching the 400 Metres, FOXHUNTER WAY momentarily raced in restricted room when improving into tight running between TOTAL POWER and ILLUSTRIOUS which, after shifting out when giving ground, shifted in marginally after bumping FREE FOAL.
Rounding the Home Turn, TOTAL POWER was shifted out away from the heels of HEAVENLY THOUGHT. TOTAL POWER then raced tight inside FREE FOAL at the entrance to the Straight when having difficulty obtaining clear running behind DR WINNING.
For the major part of the race, ILLUSTRIOUS travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground and finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of ILLUSTRIOUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ILLUSTRIOUS was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ILLUSTRIOUS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of DR WINNING and FREE FOAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DR WINNING, VILLA FIONN and VIVA POPCORN were sent for sampling.
