Racing Incident Report
TUCHEL was withdrawn on 15.10.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUPER OASIS (A Hamelin). Before being allowed to race again, TUCHEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
COBHFIELD was slow to begin.
HORSESAIN BOLT began only fairly.
From wide barriers, CAPTAIN WIN and HAPPY DAY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When also being steadied from a wide barrier, MASTER MONTARO got its head up on a number of occasions shortly after the start.
A PAL got its head up on a number of occasions approaching the 1100 Metres when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ETERNAL BLOOM which was being steadied to obtain cover behind THE RUNNER.
For some distance after the 800 Metres, ICE LEGEND was awkwardly placed behind A PAL and then had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Passing the 700 Metres, MASTER MONTARO was taken wider and without cover by COPARTNER AMBITION which shifted out.
Approaching the 500 Metres, ETERNAL BLOOM shifted out and brushed A PAL. ETERNAL BLOOM and A PAL then bumped near the 450 Metres.
Passing the 400 Metres, EN POINTE shifted in towards the running rail and became unbalanced of its own accord. HAPPY DAILY, which was following EN POINTE, was shifted out away from the heels of that horse approaching the 350 Metres.
After the 400 Metres, ETERNAL BLOOM shifted in towards the heels of THE RUNNER. Then approaching the 300 Metres, ETERNAL BLOOM raced in restricted room between THE RUNNER and A PAL.
Approaching the 150 Metres, ICE LEGEND and HORSESAIN BOLT raced tight.
After the race, L Ferraris reported that after being left racing wide and without cover approaching the 1200 Metres, CAPTAIN WIN would not relax and because of this was then not able to finish the race off in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of CAPTAIN WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HORSESAIN BOLT, HAPPY DAILY and A PAL were sent for sampling.
