Racing Incident Report
GLORIOUS DRAGON jumped awkwardly and then was steadied away from the heels of MONEY CATCHER which shifted out.
KA YING STAR raced wide and without cover throughout the early stages and near the 1600 Metres commenced a forward move where it was able to obtain a position outside the lead near the 1100 Metres. After the race, J McDonald could not offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of KA YING STAR. He said his mount was under pressure a long way from the finish. A veterinary inspection of KA YING STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of KA YING STAR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING STAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GOLDEN SIXTY and ROMANTIC WARRIOR were sent for sampling.
