Racing Incident Report

STREET CONQUEROR jumped awkwardly and then made heavy contact with TELECOM SPEED, resulting in STREET CONQUEROR becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
GOLDEN LINK jumped only fairly and then raced ungenerously in the early stages and lay out.
MIDORI BEAUTY was slow to begin.
Making the turn near the 450 Metres, STREET CONQUEROR shifted out and bumped GOLDEN LINK.
Near the 150 Metres, NABOO LEGEND, which was giving ground, was steadied to avoid TELECOM SPEED which was taken in by MAYHEM.
Near the 100 Metres, STREET CONQUEROR had difficulty obtaining clear running when held up behind COMPASSION SUPER.
At the winning post, HELIOS EXPRESS shifted out abruptly.
After the race, K C Leung (SAKEWIN) reported that near the 1000 Metres the saddle on SAKEWIN slipped back, resulting in SAKEWIN commencing to buck and then being eased down from the event whereby it took no competitive part thereafter. A veterinary inspection of SAKEWIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SAKEWIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial with the use of raceday gear and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of NABOO LEGEND immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, NABOO LEGEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MIDORI BEAUTY and GOLDEN LINK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HELIOS EXPRESS and TOMODACHI KOKOROE were sent for sampling.
<26/6/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> MIDORI BEAUTY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. MIDORI BEAUTY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer W Y So this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MIDORI BEAUTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
