Racing Incident Report

SIMPLE HEDGE was slow to begin.
SPECIAL HEDGE jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
From wide barriers, JUNE PLANET and SPEEDSTAR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1200 Metres, SPECIAL HEDGE improved to the inside of MASTER HERO when that runner was steadied. As a result, SPECIAL HEDGE, which was having its first race start, shifted in and bumped SIMPLE HEDGE and then commenced to race ungenerously for some distance thereafter when it continued to race tight to the inside of MASTER HERO. Making the turn near the 800 Metres, SPECIAL HEDGE shifted out and away from EXCELLENT DADDY and bumped MASTER HERO.
Near the 300 Metres, SPEEDSTAR was awkwardly placed behind JUNE PLANET when that runner was shifted to the outside of MASTER HERO to obtain clear running.
YOUNG HORIZON raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection of YOUNG HORIZON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SIMPLE HEDGE and JUNE PLANET were sent for sampling.
<4/7/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that ETERNAL BLOOM was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, ETERNAL BLOOM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
