1 8 HAPPY HORSE (H061) Kicked a rail on leaving the Parade Ring, examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 6 GOODMANSHIP (E208) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 9 FIGHTING STAR (E255) Slow to begin and then was crowded a short distance later. In the middle stages commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from HAPPILY FRIENDS for some distance approaching the 600 Metres. After the 600 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by EIGHT TRIGRAMS which shifted out after making contact with DASHING GLORY. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 3 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) No report.
5 7 HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533) Near the 350 Metres blundered.
6 1 GREAT DAYS (H119) No report.
7 4 DASHING GLORY (G397) Bumped shortly after the start. Bumped after the 600 Metres. Near the 100 Metres was directed to the inside of GREAT DAYS to continue into clear running.
8 5 EIGHT TRIGRAMS (C102) Crowded after the 600 Metres. After the race, C L Chau advised that the intention was to hold a forward position with cover, but when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to settle further back in the field to avoid racing wide.
9 2 MULTIMORE (D443) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
