2 9 MEDIC ELITE (G129) Near the 150 Metres was bumped by ONE HEART ONE. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 8 ONE HEART ONE (H004) Near the 150 Metres was bumped by MEDIC ELITE. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 1 BIG TWO (E310) Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after. In the early stages raced keenly. Had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 250 Metres when positioned behind JOYFUL CHAMPION. Approaching the 200 Metres was crowded for room between ONE HEART ONE (L Hewitson) and JOYFUL CHAMPION (M F Poon), both of which shifted ground. A short distance later then shifted in and away from ONE HEART ONE slightly, made contact with JOYFUL CHAMPION and became badly unbalanced. L Hewitson and M F Poon were both advised to exercise more care.
5 12 JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072) Jumped awkwardly and was bumped. Near the 150 Metres was bumped and became unbalanced.
6 3 ASIAN ONE (E400) Jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
7 10 HANG'S CHOICE (E311) Bumped shortly after the start. Bumped TACTICAL COMMAND near the 1500 Metres. Near the 350 Metres was checked when crowded between MEDIC ELITE and HAPPY JAI JAI which was taken out by ONE HEART ONE (L Hewitson). L Hewitson was severely reprimanded.
8 2 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) Near the 1500 Metres made contact with HANG’S CHOICE when holding its position one-off the rail. Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind BIG TWO. For some distance near the 150 Metres again had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind JOYFUL CHAMPION.
9 4 HAPPY HUNK (H101) No report.
10 6 REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248) Made contact with a rail on entering the track, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. When caught wide without cover in the early stages was allowed to stride forward leaving the 1100 Metres to hold a position in the lead. After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to make use of his mount to go forward and then when MISTER ARM held its position to his inside along the Back Straight, he was obliged to make additional use of REGENCY HAPPY STAR and as a result it was left without a finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 11 MISTER ARM (D491) Bumped on jumping.
12 7 HAPPY JAI JAI (E069) Near the 1200 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from CORDYCEPS ONE. After the race, C L Chau stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover and consequently did not finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HAPPY JAI JAI was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY JAI JAI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
