Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 11 BRAVE WITNESS (H425) Sent for sampling post-race. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on BRAVE WITNESS at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, BRAVE WITNESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
2 12 MATSU VICTOR (H472) Near the 350 Metres was bumped and taken wider by SOLAR GOGO which shifted to the outside of ATOMIC BEAUTY to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 7 WINNING STEPS (G420) No report.
4 9 GALLANT CROWN (D359) Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
5 8 SUPER BABY (G364) No report.
6 6 ATOMIC BEAUTY (H066) No report.
7 3 DURHAM STAR (E082) Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
8 4 SOLAR GOGO (H390) Jumped only fairly. Bumped near the 350 Metres when shifting out. Lay in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
9 2 CORDYCEPS ONE (E107) Held up for clear running for some distance after the 500 Metres. After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his instructions were to endeavour to lead. He said after his mount jumped only fairly and made contact with DURHAM STAR, he settled further back than what he had been instructed.
10 10 DIVINE SHINING (G373) Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners and got its head up in the early stages.
11 5 TURIN WARRIOR (G150) Slow to begin and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the 600 Metres raced wide and without cover when it shifted out to commence a forward move. After the race, K C Leung stated that after making a move from the 600 Metres his mount did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 1 CITY THUNDER (J173) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, CITY THUNDER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
