1 6 PATCH OF THETA (H485) Bumped at the start. For some distance after the 900 Metres raced keenly and was steadied to avoid CALIFORNIA SPANGLE. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 7 DROMBEG BANNER (H117) Sent for sampling post-race.

4 8 CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175) No report.
5 3 RED LION (H115) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
6 4 TAJ DRAGON (H164) After the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied when awkwardly placed between HEALTHY HAPPY and GREEN N WHITE.
7 2 BEAUTY JOY (E058) Near the 250 Metres was checked when it improved behind CALIFORNIA SPANGLE as that runner was giving ground. Over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out to the finish when positioned behind RED LION.
8 10 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) Bumped a rail on the way to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped awkwardly.
9 1 CALIFORNIA SPANGLE (E314) After the event, B Avdulla stated that his mount was unsuited when crossed by DROMBEG BANNER in the early stages when that runner showed superior pace. He said, in his opinion, CALIFORNIA SPANGLE races best on firm surfaces. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 5 HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) Jumped awkwardly.
11 11 FANTASTIC TREASURE (E269) Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded by CALIFORNIA SPANGLE which shifted in.
