3 11 SWAGGER BRO (K089) Bumped on jumping.
4 12 WINNING CHAMPION (K429) On jumping became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters. In the early stages raced ungenerously and refused to settle. Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when racing in restricted room between SWAGGER BRO and SKY CAP.
5 4 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) Lay in over the final 100 Metres and over the concluding stages shifted in and made slight contact with SWAGGER BRO. C Y Ho reported that he was given no specific instructions. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to ride the horse in a conservative manner to avoid covering additional ground.
6 9 HOLMES A COURT (J511) On jumping made contact with SWAGGER BRO. H Bowman was fined the sum of $10,000 for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. In assessing penalty the Stewards determined that Jockey Bowman prejudiced his mount’s chances of finishing in 5th placing.
7 8 GRAND MASTERMIND (L084) Shortly after the start made contact with VIEW OF COSMOS due to both runners shifting ground.
8 3 DIAMOND SPARKLE (L182) On jumping shifted out and made heavy contact with KING OBERON. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 2 AUTOMATED (K177) Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
10 1 KING OBERON (H407) Bumped heavily on jumping and became unbalanced. B Avdulla stated that from the outside barrier he had to make use of his mount in the early stages to go forward as instructed. He said when SKY CAP improved to his outside leaving the 700 Metres his mount came under pressure and did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 10 FULL OF LAUGHTER (L017) On jumping shifted in and made contact with the hindquarters of WINNING CHAMPION.
12 7 VIEW OF COSMOS (L060) Shortly after the start made contact with GRAND MASTERMIND due to both runners shifting ground.
WV FORTUNE GOLDSADDLE (L090) Withdrawn on 17.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter VIEW OF COSMOS. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE GOLDSADDLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
