1 7 GENERAL REDWOOD (L102) Shifted out slightly leaving the 50 Metres and brushed VIVACIOUS WIN. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 12 VIVACIOUS WIN (K223) K Teetan stated that with an expected lack of speed engaged in the race he was instructed to hold a more forward position than it did at its most recent race starts. Leaving the 50 Metres was brushed by GENERAL REDWOOD which shifted out slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) No report.
4 5 FORTUNE STAR (K003) Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with PRECISION HOPE. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Leaving the 900 Metres raced keenly and was steadied to avoid CELTIC TIMES.
5 6 CELTIC TIMES (G230) No report.
6 11 SUPER GOLDENDRAGON (K458) Jumped only fairly. In the early stages of the Home Straight lay in and as a result was positioned close to GOLDEN DARCI near the 200 Metres when that runner commenced to give ground.
7 1 BEAUTY VIVA (K155) Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with GOLDEN DARCI. Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 4 AESTHETICISM (H289) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 9 PRECISION HOPE (L047) Bumped shortly after the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 3 VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) After the 500 Metres improved to the inside of OSI HONOUR when that runner came under pressure. When OSI HONOUR maintained its position making the Home Turn VERMILION TEMPEST was then held up when positioned behind SUPER GOLDENDRAGON. Near the 150 Metres VERMILION TEMPEST, which was laying out, shifted out and was eased when positioned close to GOLDEN DARCI when that runner was giving ground.
11 8 GOLDEN DARCI (H470) Bumped shortly after the start.
12 2 OSI HONOUR (K232) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
