1 9 E HO HO (L119) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Trainer K L Man was questioned regarding E HO HO’s improved performance today. He explained that E HO HO had derived benefit from its first up run from a spell when only beaten 3 lengths. Sent for sampling post-race.

3 11 SPEEDY POWER (L362) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

10 14 CASA PRIMO (L201) Lay out in the Home Straight, proving difficult to ride out. R Kingscote dropped his whip inside the 100 Metres. R Kingscote explained that it was not the pre-race instructions to lead, however, from a wide barrier his mount began well and was obliged to take up a forward position to avoid being caught wide.
11 6 PRIVATE WEALTH (L177) Began only fairly. J Orman could offer no excuse for today’s performance other than his mount was reluctant to improve between runners during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

13 1 ALMIGHTY WARRIOR (L245) Z Purton stated that his mount was progressing from griffin company today and may not have been suited with its allotted weight of 135 lbs. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ALMIGHTY WARRIOR, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, ALMIGHTY WARRIOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
