3 9 OSCAR STAR (CC046) S Dye -- Jumped well from wide draw and pushed along to race in a forward position 3-wide without cover through to straight. All out 350 M out and kept on fairly but was unable to match speed with the 1st pair to settle for 3rd place.
4 3 JUSTINIAN (CB324) D Whyte B Broke well and ridden along to race in a forward position 2-wide through to straight. Unable to quicken when asked 300 M out and kept on same pace to the line.
5 2 JOYFUL WORLD (CC200) G Mosse -- Tardy start from wide draw and was soon eased to mid-division 3-wide with cover. Ridden along at home bend and made little headway. All out 400 M out but only able to run on evenly to the line.
6 7 KAO AND MING (CD023) O Doleuze SR Jumped awkwardly but soon recovered to race in better than midfield 2-wide. Switched out on straightening to obtain clear running. Unable to go up a gear when asked 350 M and stayed one-paced to the line.
7 6 THE ONLY ONE (CB383) C Williams B Began well from wide draw and soon eased to a rearward position 2-wide. Made little headway from the outside turning for home. Kept on evenly to the line when asked 350 M.
8 8 KINGSTON GLORY (CC310) W M Lai B Began awkwardly from widest and was steadily eased to a rearward position closer to the rail. Switched to the widest to obtain running on straightening. Made up little ground inside final 200 M when asked 350 M out.
9 4 TRIUMPHANT GLORY (CB368) A Marcus B Pushed along to race in better than midfield around 2-wide. Hard ridden to maintain position at home bend. Only able to keep on some pace in the straight.

13 5 TAIJI SPIRIT (CD185) A Delpech TT Awkwardly away and was soon steadied away from heels. Soon recovered to race in midfield 2-wide to straight. Hung in in straight and found nothing inside final 200 M.
14 12 CLASSIC WIN (CC353) Y T Cheng -- Hard ridden to race in a forward position on rail. Commenced to give ground around the 450 M mark and tailed out in straight.
